Cappadocia - In the land of fairy chimneys
Discover the rich history of this area in the heart of Anatolia, where many cultures left their marks. 1st day: arrival
Flight from Germany to Kayseri. Short transfer to the hotel in the city.
The rest of the day can be used as freetime.
2nd day: To the early Christian churches
Today you can expect an eventful day of the special tufa landscape of Cappadocia.
First with the hike in the Göreme valley to Meskendir and the red valley. We have in the afternoon
the first art historical encounter with Cappadocia in the open air museum of Goreme, where
to admire some tuff-stone churches up to 1,000 years old with their very well preserved frescoes
which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
3th day: Mysterious underground city and Ihlara Gorge
Visiting the mysterious, underground city of Derinkuyu, which was dug 40 meters into the ground. The Ihlara Gorge is the highlight of your Cappadocia trip. The up to 100 meters deep gorge with its impressive cave churches, the river and its fishermen promises an incredibly varied hike. After visiting the best-preserved cave churches, you will hike to the village of Belisirma, where you can relax with a break. It's not far to the final destination of the day, Yaprakhisar.
4th day: Over the Boztepe to earth pyramide landscape Pasabag
In the early morning hours you have the unique opportunity to experience the bizarre rock landscape of Cappadocia from a new and unique perspective during an optional balloon flight. - a unique experience. Hike over the Table Mountain Boztepe to the Zelve valley. Hike to the earth pyramids of Pasabag.
5th day: From the Pigeon Valley to the village Göreme and through the valley of love
The day begins with a hike through the Pigeon Valley from Uchisar to Göreme. An excellent observation of the leaching of the valley by water. Afternoon We hike through the White Valley - an unreal lunar landscape. Past bizarre rock formations to towering Feenkaminen.
6th day: Hiking in the Çat valley
Hike in the recently opened Çat valley through an incredible world of unique fairy chimneys. On the way we see interesting pigeon houses of Cappadocia. In the afternoon, visit the historic mosque from the Ottoman era.
7th day: culture and history
Today we visit an Ethnographic Museum that brings us closer to everyday life and village life. Short walk to the village of Mustafapasa, populated by Turks originally from Thessaloniki.
8th day: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport and departure, or follow-up program.
